JCG: “I’m here with Ashley Simonelli at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Real Estate Bootcamp with Steve Rozenberg, and Ashley is a rockstar in her own field. She’s a property manager and she’s also a realtor. So, Ashley, tell us, could you share a bit about your tips on property management and what investors should look for in vetting a property management company?” AS: “Sure. Property managers are very important to a real estate investment, as I’m sure you know the number one trait I think you should look for when hiring a or looking to hire property managers is integrity before anything else. And obviously, if you don’t know them. Personal level that might take a little bit of research, make sure that you’re verifying their reputation, checking their references and just making sure you know that you’re dealing with, I think it’s very important that the person who’s handling your larger, most likely your largest investment ever is trustworthy.” JCG: Thank you, Ashley, and your whereabouts. JCG: “I’m with my mentor in real estate, Mr. Steve Rozenberg, who is hosting his millionaire mastermind here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. So with that introduction, Steve, I’d like to ask you, in a nutshell, what do you think is the number one trait or thing that you can tell us for a newbie investor wanting to get into real estate investing, but just being hesitant or fearful of? SR: “It’s a good question. I would say the number one thing that you have to do to be successful is figure out your end goal. So a lot of times as entrepreneurs, as real estate investors, what we normally do is we try to be busy being busy and we don’t know where we’re going. So again, remember that you’re buying real estate for a reason. Maybe it’s a lifestyle. Maybe it’s retirement. Maybe it’s more time with your family, whatever that is, figure out what that is and then quantify it with a dollar amount and put a date on it. So a lot of times we don’t put dates on things, right? So it goes off and do this some day and it never happens. Put a date on it. And when you have a date now it’s actionable, it’s focused and it’s a tangible thing and then focus on achieving that goal by that certain date. And a lot of times you will get very close to achieving it by that date if you make it a primary focus.” JCG: “Wow, that’s an awesome tip.”
