ARE YOU AN ACCREDITED INVESTOR?

Hello Everyone.  This is Juan Carlos Gastelum. I am a real estate investor in Texas and today I want to go over what is an Accredited Investor per the SEC Rule. There are many criteria that need to be met to be able to be considered an Accredited Investor.  For our real Estate fund, Ace Capital Fund, we only admit Accredited Investors per the 506c SEC Rule.  An Accredited Investor must, at least, comply with these two criteria. First, have a net worth of $1 Million Dollars not counting his or her principal residence.  So your principal home would not count towards your net worth in meeting this $1 Million threshold. The second criteria is that you must have earned, in each of the past two years, $200 Thousand Dollars and have the expectation of making $200 Thousand Dollars in the current year. Now, if you are becoming Accredited jointly with your spouse, then this second criteria has a higher threshold and that is $300  Thousand Dollars in each of the last two years and the expectation of making $300 Thousand Dollars in the current year. So our tip for today is to be sure that you meet these two criteria of becoming or being an Accredited Investor before joining a 506c fund.  That’s it for now, take care, best wishes on your real estate journey and Godbless!
